The BEST Stroganoff—Turkey or Beef

- 1 lb. ground beef or ground turkey (use leaner meat for lower fat)
- 2 Tablespoons onion flakes (or ½ onion, chopped)
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup (98% fat free version works just fine)
- ¼ cup milk (skim milk works great)
- 1 c. sour cream (fat free works well)
- ¼ tsp. garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Serve on Noodles, mashed potatoes, or french style green beans
- Get a large saucepan/skillet and turn to medium heat.
- Brown ground beef or turkey and onion. Drain off fat.
- Add seasonings, soup and milk. Simmer 20 minutes on medium heat. Stir frequently.
- Add sour cream and heat through on low-medium heat.
- Serve over noodles or mashed potatoes. For a carb and calorie-friendly version try serving it over canned (drained and heated) french cut green beans.
